A few words about Le Casse-Croûte

An authentic setting

The ‘Le Casse-Croûte du Val-Dieu’ restaurant was created by the monks to welcome visitors and pilgrims passing through the abbey.

It is located in the former stables, which were built for the abbey’s cows in 1623. Since the monks left in 2001, the tradition of hospitality has continued at Val-Dieu. In season, enjoy our terrace to have a privileged view of the abbey’s expansive courtyard. Our local dishes can be enjoyed with a nice Val-Dieu beer on tap or an abbey cider.
